Op Amazon staat er al klachten er over.
Mes niet scherp en niet te slijpen
Blijk een productie fout te zijn.
En bij sommige mensen al happen er uit.
      Verder niet full tang .
Zat er al naar te kijken.

I have the carbon steel version of this beautiful knife. Because of the slippery handle I roughened the leather with a sanding paper and I changed the angle of the edge. Now it is a nearly perfect knife for all purposes. I've measured the edges Hardness, it is 58 to 59 with a softer backside.
    Great knife!

Bought this knife years ago as soon as it came out. Sold it shortly after. Not because it was slippery. Not because the edge was to far away...
...I was playing with it when sitting on my couch. Wanted to get comfy, pulled my knees up on the couch, not paying attention were I pointed this big ass blade, felt a little pinch, knew I did something stupid (again), looked at the tear in my pants and knew I stabbed myself in my bloody leg. 🥴
It wasn't the first time either I showed up at the General Practice Center with a self inflicted knife wound.
When the doc pulled up my file, he said: 'So, mr. Arends, you stabbed yourself again? Maybe it's time for a different hobby.' He was a funny smartass. 😂

The knife belongs in the movie prop section only and could never be considered for that kind of application..😢

I think the key reason why it lacked performance in some tests is that it had a pretty dull grind as I think they assumed many would just buy it for hanging on the wall.
Sharpen it some and it would most likely work fine for all those tests.

The mild steel kept it from shattering in my hand while I abused the ever loving snot out of it. A little older I got into the carbon steels and was disappointed by them as I kept breaking them and didn't know why lol

@@kejadventures241 not really, im just saying you don't always need these 500$ knives to go play in the woods. And also the difference I learned about Carbon steels and Stainless ones. A chopper/machete I found is best in Aus-8, your belt knife is best at 1095 hc, and for a folder any swiss army/Leatherman/buck in 440 is great but if you want performance cutting get a Higo-no-kami. And thats mainly all you could ever need in the world of kniving

Best trick with kangaroo is marinade it before cooking. Something sweet like a chutney, or jam, some bbq sauce or Worcestershire, salt and pepper, let it side for 30-60 minutes. Takes the game flavour out of it. I find roo meat slightly unpleasant without marinade. Same for venison, to be honest. As for the knife, I think it’s a wall hanger by design, not really intended for survival or bush work, but it is usable. Great video boys.

If you need the lanyard, tie it around the unsharpened recasso and wrap part of the loop around the front horn of the guard. Shouldn't get in the way since you'd be holding the handle so far back.
Also tips for cooking kangaroo from an Australian: you want it more on the rare side. About 3 minutes per side and a 3 minute rest. If you cook it too much it'll go tough like a boot and you'll end up with a sore jaw and a shit meal.
And if you want a good marinade to soak it in, rub it with brown sugar and massage that into the meat and then leave it in a container full of Guinness overnight (same marinade works for steak and pork, I just used it more commonly with kangaroo).

All these movie knives make me stick with my 40 year old Marine K-Bar made by US Camillas. It's been through hell and back and is still great. GySgt USMC retired.

Ik was surprised it didn't break untill i saw the big roll. They must have changed steel or heattreatment cause mine broke like glass at the handle 9 years ago. Turned out it was a well known fault in this knife back then.
